Information on the 'Candidate Profile Search' feature.
The Clevry candidate profile search function allows you to search your candidate database for those individuals whose abilities, tendencies, and preferences match the criteria you're looking for in a particular role!
This feature can be used by any Clevry platform user to search for candidates based on any assessment criteria you like. For extra flexibility you can restrict your search by campaign or widen your search to all candidates on your client account.
How to use the Candidate Profile Search
STEP 1: Go to the Candidates tab, and select the 'Profile Search' button.
This is located in the top left hand corner, above the 'Candidate Name' search field.
STEP 2: Select the personality scales you would like to search / compare your candidates on.
A pop out panel will appear, allowing you to select as many scales as you'd like to search within your candidate pool. You can also choose what language you'd like your search to be based on at this stage. Once you are happy with your selection, click 'Next' in the bottom right hand corner of the page.
STEP 3: Choose an ideal Sten score for each scale.
For each personality scale, choose the Sten score that you are looking for by dragging the slider to the relevant point on the scale. Remember, you can use the whole range of scores here. Click 'Search Profile' in the bottom right hand corner when you are happy with your selection.
STEP 4: See your matches.
The platform will calculate each candidate's profile match based on your scale and score preferences. They will appear in match order, with candidates whose profiles are closest to your match scoring the highest percentage.
STEP 5: Take a closer look at your top matching candidates.
To take a closer look at how each candidate compares to your scale and score preferences, simply select the candidate you're interested in and click 'View Candidate' from the pop out panel on the right. The example below shows candidate Jim Gordon, who had the closest profile match to our search criteria.
- Green represents a great match based on your search criteria
- Amber shows a reasonable match based on your search criteria
- Red shows a poor match based on your search criteria
- Grey bars are shown when the candidate did not complete that scale in the personality questionnaire they took
You may find it helpful to download the candidate's report in order to find out more about their personality preferences at work.
Can I save or print off the results?
You can't currently print or save your profile search results. We suggest taking a screenshot of the results if you want to refer to them quickly later. We may build a 'print' functionality as a later enhancement of this feature.
Why are some scales greyed out?
Greyed out scales mean that the candidate hasn't completed a questionnaire which includes that scale, therefore the platform holds no information for them. The candidate score will appear as N/A.
How do I know what scores to look for?
Exactly what scores you are looking for will depend on what you're looking for in a candidate. For example, with the Assertive scale, you might wish to set a low score range (1-3) if you're looking for someone whose preference may be to play a supporting role rather than a directive one. Comparatively, you might set a high score range (7-10) if you're looking for someone who is more dominant and likes to make their presence felt. A more middling score range (4-6) may be used if you are looking for someone who is a combination or balance of these, or is able to flex their style.
This feature was initially built for the purpose of recruiters who want to search their candidate pool for individuals with personality characteristics highly compatible with a new role. You can use it to compare your candidates for any number of reasons, including both selection and development purposes, or as part of team building exercises.
